Here’s the SASSA payment dates for October 2025. The money will be sent out on different days based on what type of grant you get.
Old age payments will go out on Thursday October 2.
People who get disability grants will be paid on Friday October 3.
If you get child support or any other grants you’ll get your money on Monday October 6.
SASSA also wants to remind everyone that if you need to change how you get your payments you should let them know. It’s important to keep track of these dates so you know when to expect your money.
SASSA now needs all new grant applicants to do a fingerprint scan or face scan to stop fraud.
Since October 1 they have signed up 42,000 people at 432 offices across the country.
If you want to change how you get your payments you need to follow these steps:
– First bring your South African ID and bank papers. For new bank accounts bring proof of the account. For old accounts bring three months of bank statements.
– Next go to your local SASSA office and fill out a form to approve the change.
– Last make sure to send your request before the 19th of each month.
